Oxford Six-score

This only appears in Campanalogia (1677). Today it is regarded as a variation of Worcestershire Place, using a Pink's Single (843h). This variation was formally named as Oxford Six-score in a quarter peal at Rogate in 2017. The touch given in Campanalogia is PPPS PPPS PPPS, with the 2nd unaffected.

It is given as Oxford Singles on peal boards at Fen Ditton (1910) and Chesterton (1897), in a reference to the fact that most of its changes are single changes, where just one pair of bells swaps. It was also rung in a couple of peals at Barley in 1936, prompting this comment from the Central Council meeting in 1937 (RW p. 357). (Click on image for larger version)
